The same day as previous event (December 7th), but this occasion at 21h31 UT, another spectacular fireball illuminates the skies of  Granada (South Spain)

The phenomena was registered with the SMART Project’s detector located at the observatories of Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), and Seville.

Two of the external cameras of Calar Alto Observatory in Almería, also registered this event.

December 7th 2021

A new bright fireball flew the skies between provinces of Seville and Cordoba in south Spain. This event took place on last December 7th at 01h13 UT.

The object was registered with the SMART Project’s detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo), Seville, Aljarafe, Huelva and Madrid observatories.

This time, two of the external cameras located at Calar Alto Observatory in Almería could also follow this fireball.

December 5th 2021

At 04h08 UT of last December 4th, an impressive fireball crossed the skies from North Africa to south of Ibiza Island.

As the angle of penetration into our atmosphere was very low, the object bounced off the atmosphere. Its final altitude was higher than the initial one converting  it into an Earth Grazer fireball.

SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierran Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), Seville, Aljarafe and Huelva observatories, registered this event.

Some of the external cameras of Calar Alto Observatory, also recorded this event.

December 2nd 2021

A bright ball of fire could be seen on the first of December 2021  above Castilla La Mancha skies at 22n59 UT.

This phenomenon has been recorded by the detectors that the SMART Project operates in the Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo), Madrid and Seville observatories.

Likewise, one external surveillance camera from the Calar Alto Observatory in Almería was also able to record this event.

November 28th 2021

A bright ball of fire could be seen on November 28 on the coast of Cádiz (southwest of the Iberian Peninsula) at 22n39 UT.

This phenomenon has been recorded by the detectors that the SMART Project operates in the Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo), Madrid, Seville and Huelva observatories.

Likewise, two external surveillance cameras from the Calar Alto Observatory in Almería were also able to record this event.
