July 1th, 2022
At 21h58 UT of June 30th 2022, a bright and beautiful fireball could be seen from the province of Malaga crossed the sky in the direction of the province of Cordoba (north) leaving a spectacular trail of light for those lucky enough to see it.
This object was registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), La Sagra (Granada), El Arenosillo (Huelva), La Hita (Toledo), OSN, Sevilla, and El Aljarafe.
This time, two of the external surveillance webcams operated at Calar Alto Observatory in Almería, also recorded the nice event.
June 21st 2022
Last night of June 20th 2022, at 22:31 UT, the reentry of one of the stages of the Chinese rocket Zheng 2F (CZ-2F) caused beautiful fireworks over the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea in front of the coasts of southern Spain and Portugal, and also west and north coasts of Morocco.
This event was registered with the SMART Project detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada, La Sagra (Granada), El Aljarafe and La Hita (Toledo) Observatories.
Despite the haze and the clouds, three of the Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) external cameras could also follow this object.
June 10th, 2022
At 00h11 UT of June 10th 2022, a bright fireball could be seen from the province of Malaga that crossed the sky in the direction of Seville (northwest).
This object was registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), La Sagra (Granada), El Arenosillo (Huelva), La Hita (Toledo), OSN, Sevilla, and El Aljarafe.
This time, two of the external surveillance webcams operated at Calar Alto Observatory in Almería, also recorded the nice event.
May 24th 2022
Last night of May 23rd 2022, at 00h42 UT, a very bright fireball was observed above Cataluña (Northeast Spain).
This phenomena was registered with the detectors that the SMART Project operates at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), Ayora (Valencia), Olocau (Valencia), Breda (Barcelona) and La Hita (Toledo) observatories.
Two of the external cameras at Calar Alto Observatory in Almería (about 700 km away of this event) registered also this fireball.
May 19th 2022
At 01h01 UT on May 18, the SMART Project detectors operated from the Calar Alto, Sierra Nevada, Seville, La Sagra (Granada), Huelva, El Aljarafe and La Hita (Toledo) observatories recorded the passage of a new ball of fire that lit up the Cordovan sky.
Once again, the external cameras of the Calar Alto Observatory in Almería were able to capture this beautiful moment.
