November 4th 2018
During the early morning of November 4th 2018, an impressive fireball which flew over Castilla La Mancha (south-mid Spain) above its Southeast part could be observed.
The phenomena was registered with the SMART Project’s detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), OSN (Sierra Nevada, Granada), Sevilla, La Hita (Toledo) and La Sagra (Granada) observatories.
This fireball was also registered with the external surveillance webcams located at Calar Alto Observatory (Almería), as shown on the left image.
July 23rd 2019
At 20:22 UT (22:22 Local time) of July 23rd 2018, a bright fireball could be observed in front of the coasts of Málaga and Granada (South Spain). This event was registerd from the SMART Project's detectors operated at Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada) and Sevilla observatories. Although the object passed through a dead angle of SMART's detectors located at Calar Alto Observatory (Almería), so it couldn't be registered with them, the fireball was registered by the south external surveillance webcam this observatory operates.
July 19th 2018
At 03:28 UT (05:28 local time) of July 19th 2018, a bright fireball flew above Almería's skies (South Spain). This phenomena was registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo), Huelva and Sevilla Observatories. As well, this object was also recorded with two of the Calar Alto Observatory surveillance system webcams.
July 17th 2018
During the night of July 17 2018, at 02:20 UT (04:20 local time) a bright and long-lasting fireball flew above the Mediterranean Sea in front of Almería's coasts (South Spain). This phenomena could be registered with the detectors that the SMART Project operates at Calar Alto, Sierran Nevada and Sevilla Observatories. At Calar Alto Observatory, the event could be registered with three of the external surveillance webcams.
July 9th 2018
During the morning of July 9th 2018, at 10:19 UT (12:19 local time), in broad daylight, a bright fireball could be observed crossing the southwest skies of Iberian Peninsula, from the northeast part of Badajoz province and going up to Cáceres province, both into the Extremadura Autonomy.
Due to the fact that there were only a few records of this event, the analysis of the data is being very complicated.
