November 17th 2017

At 6:11 localtime (5:11 UT), a very bright fireball flew over the Center-South part of Spain. This is the fourth fireball registered this week from Calar Alto Observatory with both the SMART Project’s detectors and with the webcams from the Calar Alto Observatory external surveillance. In this case this object was also registered from SMART Project’s detectors operating at La Hita (Toledo), La Sagra (Granada), Huelva and Sevilla observatories.

November 16th 2017

On November 16th at 1:06 local time (0:06 UT) a fireball flew over the Atlantic Ocean, just in front of Cádiz (Southwest Spain) coasts. Calar Alto Observatory West surveillance webcam was able to register this object although this event took place almost 400 km away from the position of the Observatory.

This is the third fireball registered from Calar Alto Observatory this week.

November 15th 2017

At 4:52 local time (3:52 UT) of November 15th 2017, a bright fireball flew over the center part of Spain. This object could be registered from the Calar Alto SMART detectors and with the north surveillance webcam. Also SMART detectors operated at La Hita (Toledo), La Sagra (Granada), Huelva and Sevilla registerd this event.

November 12th 2017

At 23:34 local time (22:34 UT) of November 12th 2017, a fireball over the South of Spain (between Granada and Jaen provinces) was registered from Calar Alto Observatory, in Almería (Spain), from both the SMART project fireball detection station operated at this center and the observatory surveillance webcams.

October 24th 2017

This fireball, registered within the SMART Project framework and happened last October 24th 2017, at 23:37 local time (21:37 UT) flew in front of Almería’s coast. The object was registered with SMART detectors located at Calar Alto (Almería) and La Sagra (Granada) observatories, together with one of the Calar Alto Observatory webcams pointing to southeast.
