CALAR ALTO UTILITIES

wdxx: This program shows all the values of the Calar Alto Weather Station together with the graphical tendency for those values. The main difference with the old wdxx is that this new program (with a new GUI) doesn't reset itself at 00:00 UT, so if you start it before midnight (UT), you'll see a continuous graphic tendency of all the values taken by the Calar Alto Weather Station. It's important to know that when you start the program, for generating the graphical tendency, it will take all values from 00:00 UT of the day in which you are starting the program. So if you start it just after 00:00 UT, the graphics will be very short. For that reason, it is recomended starting the program when you reach the observer room in the evening, before 00:00 UT.

Another difference with the old version are those little icons showing the need of closing the telescopes because of the weather. They are divided for every telescope, and are dependent on the particular needs of them.

Please, follow their indications:

Green and open: Ok for opening telescopes.

Yellow and closing: Please, be aware of weather conditions, as they are not good. Prepare for closing telescope.

Red and close: Close inmediatelly the telescope, as the weather conditions are dangerous for the telescope.
