CLOSE NIGHT
This section describes how to end an observing night.

  • On IDL prompt, enter :
      •          Pmas> pics_close,e,/same
    Alternatively, you can select a number of bias and dark exposures to be taken as a sequence, and close down automatically when finished (from the GUI) : 
               pics_gui pulldown menu: ObsNight -> Finish Night
    You are prompted on the IDL command line for the requested number of frames.
  • Save your data to "ultra1" (for DAT drive), and/or to "pmas" (for CDROM)
  • Shutdown the telescope.
  • Write night report.
