January 16th 2021

On January 15th 2021, at 01h24 UT, Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) registered its second fireball of the year. And curiously it was very similar to the first one, only two nights ago.

In this case, SMART Project’s detectors located at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierran Nevada (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories detected this event.

Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) recorded the object with one of its external surveillance webcams.

January 14th 2021

On January 13th 2021, at 21h10 UT, Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) registered its first fireball of the year.

SMART Project’s detectors located at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierran Nevada (Granada) and Seville observatories detected this event.

Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) recorded the object with two of its external surveillance webcams.

December 16th 2020

Last nights of December 12th and 14th, two nice Geminids could be registered with the SMART Project’s detectors located at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierra Nevada (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories.

In fact there were a lot of Geminids during last nights.These ones are only a couple of examples of what are happening during these nights.

This two were also registered with the external surveillance webcams of Calar Alto Observatory in Almería.

portadaAt 23h40 UT on December 2nd a nice fireball lighted up again the Mediterranean Sea skies.

This object could be registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierran Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories.

This fireball could also be recorded with the Calar Alto Observatory (Almería) south surveillance webcam.

November 22nd 2020

After the night of November 21st, with three fireballs above South Spain skies, on November 22nd at 00h54 UT another fireball illuminated the skies.

This object could be registered with the SMART Project's detectors operated at Calar Alto (Almería), Sierran Nevada (Granada), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo) and Seville observatories.

This fireball could also be recorded with two of the Calar Alto Observatory external surveillance webcams.
