Omega-Prime was designed and built in about 1 year, in order to implement
an exceptionally wide-field near-infrared imager as soon as the new
HAWAII 1024² pixel HgCdTe arrays became available. It is currently
the widest-field imager at near-infrared wavelengths on any 3-4m class
telescope in the world!
