CAFE Home Page

Summary: CAFE provides high resolution echelle spectra over 3900-9600 angs.
Detector: Andor Tech. iKon 2048 x 2048 CCD.
Focal Station: Mounted at Cassegrain focus.
Aperture: The aperture is limited by the entrance diaphragm, which has an aperture of 200 microns (ie., 2.4 arcsec projected in the sky) .
Instrument Responsible (co-PI): Jesus Aceituno
Contact: coords@caha.es

CAFE has been upgraded during April-September 2018. It is now available with recovered grating efficiency and greatly improved temperature stability

CAFExtractor new pipeline
A new pipeline to extract CAFE spectra is available. All the data collected by CAFE will be processed and extracted spectra, aswell as the raw data, provided to the CAFE users.
This pipeline is described in Lillo-Box et al.
The latest version of the code can be downloaded from Github repository (coming soon)
CAFE R3D old pipeline
Information of how to reduce the data at the telescope, and how to get a copy of the pipeline.
